Welcome
Welcome to the Albury Wodonga Orienteering Club. The aim of the club is to provide an opportunity for members of all ages to compete in the growing sport of orienteering.

2. Sunday AM state foot orienteering
Leigh is going over leaving Saturday morning and coming back Sunday evening.

Waggaroos are holding a club event over this great orienteering terrain. Details and directions to the event are on their website, waggaroos.nsw.orienteering.asn.au.It may be possible to share transport to this event. Email Rick at rickarm@hotmail.com if you are interested.
Wednesday
Night Runs
AWOC Orienteering Club winter social gathering to keep us active and together
for walkers, runners and riders. We meet at club member’s homes
every second Wednesday with a 6.30pm start, and a 7.30pm supper. The group
walk or run for about 45 - 60mins. The supper is simple with soup and
bread, cuppa and cake. For details of the location, please contact Ellie.
The dates remaining for this winter are 30
May, 13 June, 27 June, 11 July, 25 July, 8 August, 22 August, 5 September
and 19 September.
Membership
Hello all and welcome to the new orienteering year. Just a reminder that AWOC memberships for 2011 are now due. This year we will try to make it easier to renew your subs by offering payment by direct deposit to Club's Hume Building Society account. BSB No: 640000 Account No: 368114510 (or 368114s10 if you bank with Hume) include your name with "M'ship" in the reference field. If you opt to renew via internet banking you can simply type in your details on the attached renewal form and email it back to me - normmccann at optusnet.com.au . If you renew via an in branch direct deposit or via cheque/cash payment then please post your completed renewal to PO Box 461 Albury NSW 2640. A club membership form can be downloaded here. Don’t forget to renew early to ensure that you receive all the club information including newsletters.
Compete Safely!
Participants, particularly novice members should read the details of how to prepare and compete in orienteering events. Beginners will benefit by reading http://www.orienteering.asn.au/newcomers/ .
Committee Meetings
If you feel that you want to have a say in the running of the club, ordinary members are entitled and welcome to come along to the AWOC Committee meetings. These take place on the second Tuesday of each month from 8pm at various venues. Feel free to come along and have your input into the running of our club.
