The aim of the club is to provide an opportunity for members of all ages to compete in the growing sport of orienteering. note this is not an interclub challenge but its a great spot for orienteering
with courses to suit all.If you would like to attend, contact the organiser,

event starts at the swimming pool in Main St Chiltern with a mass start
at 10.30am. The format is 'pick your own route' to get as many marks as
you can in either 2 hours (long course) or 1.5 hours (medium course).
Probably best to get there about 10am so you can plan your route. Electronic
timing will be used. Entry fee $5 members, $10 non members plus $3 for
electronic timing 'stick' hire. Winter is Here! Due to the popularity of the Wednesday evening winter runs and social get togethers last year, we are holding another series this year from May to November. The activities comprise running/walking/mountainbiking (various grades from easy to more difficult) followed by a light supper of soup, tea and coffee. Don’t forget to renew early to ensure that you receive all the club information including newsletters. Compete Safely! Participants, particularly novice members should read the details of how to prepare and compete in orienteering events. Beginners will benefit by reading http://www.orienteering.asn.au/newcomers/ . Committee Meetings for 2010 If you feel that you want to have a say in the running of the club, ordinary members are entitled and welcome to come along to the AWOC Committee meetings. These take place on the second Tuesday of each month from 8pm at various venues. Feel free to come along and have your input into the running of our club.
